From single replacement skirting boards to large batch quantities, all architraves and skirting is manufactured by experienced joiners using time-proven techniques.
If you are keen to retain the look and the original features of your home, our skirting and architraves can be designed to blend seamlessly with any wall panelling, dado rails, picture rails, spindles and balustrades etc.
Our Service
By looking at the existing timbers used throughout your home, we will produce a quality product the complements the surrounding environment. An initial prototype is always produced for approval, prior to commencing your order.
Once complete, the skirting and architrave can be collected from our workshop or delivered directly on site. If required, we offer a full fitting service to ensure that your custom built architraves and skirting are correctly installed and will last for years to come.

Quality in Wood is part of W Westerman Ltd, a 3rd generation family run local business in Nottingham W Westerman Ltd was founded in 1933 by Walter Westerman and is now a significant East Midlands house builder. Walter himself, started out as a carpenter and joiner which is the origins of “Quality in Wood”.
About Us
In 1933, Walter began work on his own in a small shed at his parent’s house in Chilwell, making window frames and carrying out general carpentry repair work.
In his first foray into house building, he built a pair of houses for his relatives in Chilwell in 1935 and then went on to build more houses locally.
